What is wrong with talking about challenging ideas and doing the research and getting to discuss/know alternative views at a University? Why can't we trust adults who encounter things that are different to make up their own mind about the strength of the argument and the evidence? I'm not sure that effeminate or fancy has to be gay, but clearly the brothers did see Joseph as different. But if it were, so what? We don't in 2022 know how some come to feel same sex attraction and why would it occur in 2000's but never before? Wouldn't we have to be pretty closeminded not to acknowledge that same gender attraction (or at least men who were different) existed in bibilical times? And he is talking about how those writing/copying these scriptures might be thinking as they do write, isn't he? I didn't see any place that this was taught at BYU.
